Toby Spanton works as an assistant director in the film industry.
Notable recent projects include 'Snow White and the Huntsman', 'Gambit', 'Jack the Giant Killer' and 'The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo'.
With a degree in film studies from Winchester University, Toby started working for a post-production house in London's media centre, Soho. From there his contacts took him into the television entertainment industry and finally onto the film industry.
In 2008 he wrote and directed his first short film 'Curiosity' starring Emily Blunt and Tom Riley. The film screened at film festivals worldwide including the 2010 LA Short Film Festival where it was well received by a packed audience. The film was picked up for distribution and subsequently released on iTunes.
Toby is also the founding member of the film company Curiosity Films Ltd.
His next project is a short film called 'Two Skeletons' which was shot in New York in October 2011 and is currently in post-production. You can follow the blog for the latest updates.
