Toby Spanton works as an assistant director in the film and television industry.
Notable recent projects include 'Clash of the Titans', Disney's 'John Carter of Mars' and Clint Eastwood's 'Hereafter'.
With a degree in film studies from Winchester University, Toby started working for a post-production house in London’s media centre, Soho. From there his contacts took him into the television entertainment industry and finally onto the film industry.
In 2008 he wrote and directed his first short film 'Curiosity' starring Emily Blunt and Tom Riley. The film has subsequently been screened at film festivals in the UK and Germany and was included in the 'Film UK Guide to British Film' publication.
Toby is also the founding member of the film company Curiosity Films Ltd. A link to the company’s site can be found in the links page.
In addition he has just written his first feature which he aims to direct at the end of 2010. Watch this space!
